Lesbud Generally folks on here don't recommend a brand of vitamins. What we advise is that you get your vitamin levels tested and then supplement only the vitamins you are lacking using good quality products. So if you were to ask about a specific Vitamin eg B12 or Fit d then folks would say what they liked.

thanks. I am supplementing as I suffer with b12 def and have injections, also vit d deficiency but I am concerned about fillers. I know the ones to look out for but am finding it difficult to find a brand that does not contain these fillers.

Totally filler free Vit D - Doctor's Best contains just D3 and extra virgin olive oil. I have used it for years and am very happy with it. Just make sure you are taking the correct dose, what is your current Vit D level and how much are you taking?

Don't forget that D3 has important cofactors - magnesium and Vit K2-MK7.

Thanks once again Susie. I haven't had my levels of vit d done lately with all the covid19. I did have very low levels last year so taking 4000iu daily and vit K2mk7 and magnesium gluconate. I am taking a complex b and selenium but these have fillers.

What vitamins are you looking for?

I use a Vit D with no excipients, also a magnesium citrate powder that is pure, nothing else, a K2-MK7 that only has linseed flour as a bulking agent in the capsule, nothing else.

You could look at HealthleadsUK, they are additive free but I've never seen a supplement of theirs that I'd be happy to take:

You could also look at Tom Oliver (although some additives are listed on some of their supplements):

Susie hy you use citrate and not taurat magnesium?

And which mark vit d and k3 you use? Not sure whether you mentioned that.

Assiya

I use magnesium citrate (for it's laxative properties) but I also use magnesium taurate (for heart).

I use Doctor's Best D3 and for K2-MK7 I use Vegavero when I can get it or Vitabay if Vegavero isn't available.

Dear lesbub1,

I tend to agree with Lalatoot I would Definitely 'Check', with your Doctors/ Consultants, Before taking ANY supplements. Whilst Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) and the 'B' Complex Vitamins are water soluble, others are NOT and can Build Up, in the body and cause 'problems'. Then as you, quite rightly point out, there are the 'binders' in the tablets. I know 'something', of these, I used to work for a Yeast Company- we used to make Brewers Yeast Tablets. Most are 'harmless', unless you are allergic- Lactose (milk sugar) is such an example. To most just a tasteless sugar unless, of course, you are Allergic.

I, at the very least 'check', with your Doctors lesbub1, if only, to be 'safe'.
