Please help me with my blood results

Hello everyone, I wondered if someone who knows their stuff can look at my blood results. It's taken me ages to post them up. They are from last November. I had them done to work out if my T3 is OK. It also threw up that I was low on vit D and low on B12. I have since been taking extra vit D and B12. Apparently also I had too much iron at that point. I normally take iron supplements and so stopped but don't know if I should start up with them again, as I frequently become deficient. Anyway, my big question is...do people take T3 even with reasonable results? My health isn't too bad but I really struggle with tiredness, weight gain, muscle spasms, sometimes allodynia, pins and needles on and off in my hands, TMJ syndrome and fibroids.

It really isn't very helpful to comment on tests that are 6 months old as things could be very different now.

However, at the time of that test your conversion of T4 to T3 was fine. Your FT4 was 49% through range and your FT3 was 51.89% through range so there was no need to consider taking T3.

Your Ferritin was low in range but you did not have iron deficiency, you may or may not have needed iron tablets, you can't know unless you had an iron panel before starting the iron tablets. It would be a good idea to repeat your iron panel now as you have been off the iron tablets for some time.

Your Vit D level suggested you should have been supplementing with about 4,000-5,000iu D3, along with D3's important cofactors, magnesium and Vit K2-mk7. If you have been supplementing then retesting is required after 3 months to check your level, once it reaches the recommended level of 100-150nmol then the dose is reduced to a maintenance dose to keep it there. The maintenance dose is found by trial and error.

B12 and Folate were OK.

Magnesium is an unreliable test, most magnesium is found in bones and cells and a very small amount is in the blood so that test can't give a good indication of our level.

If I were you I'd repeat the test before considering changing anything at the moment.

Hi there - please be careful with iron unless you have a test to show you need it - it can cause liver issues.
