Are you taking thyroid meds? If so, it's high and suggests you need an increase in dose. If not, even though it's outside the range, you may struggle to get medication until it gets higher still.

Your previous posts mentioned no "moons" in your fingernails, which is a classic hypo symptom; I assume you have other hypo symptoms as well. If so, it may be worth going back to the GP with a list of them and asking for meds or an increase.

No I’m not on any medication for thyroid. I have so many symptoms of hypo so I really don’t know what else could be making me feel so ill. Thanks for your response

Suggest you go back to your GP and show your blood results. The NHS is generally reluctant to start treating patients with a TSH of 4.22 [for reasons that indicate sadism rather than logic] - but point out that it's over-range, and surely that is the whole point of having a range, and detail your other symptoms, and ask for a trial on levo to see how that helps. Mention that your T4 isn't great either [less than half way through range]. Good luck x

you might find this bit of the NICE guidelines useful to point out to your Dr.

1.5.4Consider a 6-month trial of levothyroxine for adults under 65 with subclinical hypothyroidism who have:

a TSH above the reference range but lower than 10 mlU/litre on 2 separate occasions 3 months apart, and

symptoms of hypothyroidism.

Are you taking any supplements to help your thyroid? Have you identified any deficiencies? x

Yes I’ve been taking folic acid for 3 months. My folate seems to always be low. My vit d was low last year I was given 3 months of medication.
