Hope everyone is staying safe, been 4 years since first diagnosis.

I'm now on 225 mcg of levothyroxine daily, 3 iron tablets and 1 folic acid per day and recently diagnosed with fatty liver disease.

No matter what diet I try, i stay exactly the same weight.

I need help, any ideas?

Rather difficult to have any ideas without seeing any labs. When did you last have a blood test? What were the results and ranges?

At a guess, if you're on over 200 mcg levo and still hypo, then you're not converting T4 to T3 very well. But, would need to see FT4 and FT3 tested at the same time to determine that. :)

Above is your post of two years ago when your results were requested. Difficult to comment without them - we would only be guessing !

Taking Folic Acid can mask B12 Deficiency.

Hi I am no expert but have recently come across sites talking about how the liver and gallbladder and thyroid are linked. It seemed to explain a lot and the starting point seemed to be the liver. As T4 is converted to T3 there a liver that doesn’t work properly makes sense to me, as does difficulties in digestion esp fats and inability to digest Vit D and the fats we need for our health...has anyone else heard of this link? My mum who is on thyroxine also has autoimmune liver and lots of gallstones !

Not what you're looking for?
