My 1 year old has congenital (suspected Central) hypothyroidism he is TSH deficient, we had his 3 monthly endocrine appointment in April and it has just been cancelled and I don't really want to risk low t4 levels again, anyone recommend anywhere in Belfast I could get these bloods done privately?

Hi Moz20, sorry to hear your little fella has central hypothyroidism. I know we are all under lock down and the endo dept are probably not seeing patients but could you call and say you are very concerned and ask if there is a way to get a home test? You could also call the NI equivalent of NHS 111 and explain you are worried and need to arrange a home test for him in case he needs a medication dose change. They might not help but if you are concerned it's worth trying. Good luck and sorry you are having this stressful experience.
Got a call from endocrine yesterday and thankfully they are gona do his bloods the process has just changed with the current covid procedures thanks you everyone
