Perhaps we should all see vets rather than medics!

I was discussing hypothyroidism and it's symptoms with a vet the other day. They said thyroid troubles were very important as central to the whole metabolism. They call it the mimicking disease as it's symptoms can so easily lead to misdiagnosis. As we all know when told by a doctor that we're just depressed!

Tiz often said here ! As their patients cannot speak Vets use their observational skills. It was once the same for GP's but now they are lost in a fog of guidelines ... and in many cases a lack of empathy. 🐕

I will never trust medics again, antidepressant pushers who dont follow their own NICE guidelines with big egos and yes sounds like I would have been better off seeing a vet! x

I wouldn't want any of the vets I've come into contact with for my hypo dog, treating me! None of them have the first idea about thyroid.

Poor wee doggy!

Say hi from me, & give them an extra tummy tickle. 🐕‍🦺🐕
