Ranges vary from lab to lab so you need to ask where you got your results what the range is.

TSH tells us very little. You need FT4 and ideally FT3 results as well to know what is going on.

Ok f4 and f3 were normal this time and last time I just thought 0.471 seems low and should it be 1.0+ or something dont really understand tsh I just wanted it to go up from last time not sure if it's gone up enough for her not to be concerned stil thou. Tha you for your time, G

What do you mean by normal. A common range for FT4 is 12 to 25. You can be called normal with a result of 12 and normal with a result of 25. The exact numbers matter as your normal might be anywhere between. The same can be said for FT3. You need to know where in the range you feel best.

Patients on therapy can safely have a TSH down to about 0.1 whether on T4 or combination.

Reference: Ito M, Miyauchi A, Morita S et al .

TSH-suppressive doses of levothyroxine are required to achieve preoperative native serum triiodothyronine levels in patients who have undergone total thyroidectomy.

Just testing TSH shows nothing

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested. Also EXTREMELY important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

Low vitamin levels are extremely common,

Please add results and ranges if you have any of these test results

Fibromyalgia is frequently misdiagnosed autoimmune thyroid disease

You need FULL thyroid and vitamin testing .....including BOTH TPO and TG antibodies ....

Private tests are available. Thousands on here forced to do this as NHS often refuses to test FT3 or antibodies

For thyroid including antibodies and vitamins

Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have special offers, Medichecks usually have offers on Thursdays, Blue Horizon its more random

You may need to get full Thyroid testing privately as NHS refuses to test TG antibodies if TPO antibodies are negative

Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .

This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, best not mentioned to GP or phlebotomist)

Essential to test Ft3 and all four vitamins
