I have an Autoimmunity antibodies question!

Hi everyone,

I have just had my latest blood results. I am taking 150mcg of Eltroxin, plus a host of vitamins and minerals including D3 with K, B12. Everything is in the Medichecks range now except my Antibodies. Thyroglobin fluctuates but in this test is nearer the top of normal but the Peroxidase ones are very high.

I have been caffeine, alcohol and gluten free for 2 to 3 years but 10 months ago I cut out dairy, mushrooms, beef, pork and sugar. I have even lost some weight for the first time in 15 years! I am feeling better than I have done for years, with vastly improved energy levels.

Can anyone point me in the direction of articles about understanding the antibodies? When I look at the tracker on my results I dont understand the changes in levels from test to test.

Your high TSH and low Ft3 suggest that you are under medicated and need dose increase in levothyroxine

TG antibodies often tend to drop the lower TSH is

Thank you SlowDragon. I will increase my dose by 25 and see how it goes.

Antibodies fluctuate all the time. But, tend to be higher just after an immune system attack on the thyroid, when they come along to clean up the debris. One wouldn't expect them to stay the same level for every test. :)
