Fluttery and jittery
Only blood tests can help you decide if it is too little or too much. You need to look at where Ft3 and ft 4 are through their ranges. It could also be that the balance of ft4 to Ft3 is wrong for you.
Hi , due to have some bloods done soon. What is the best balance for ft3 and Ft4 ?
My last bloods were done in August last year
Tsh 0.02. range 0.35-4.5
Ft4 10.8 range 11- 26.0
Ft3 4.1 range 3.9- 6.8
It is very much a personal thing. Some folks are fine with ft4 low in range and high Ft3. Others need them both well over half way in their ranges ndt has a fixed amount of t4 and t3 in it. It might be that you need to add more t3 or more t4 to suit you. Folks on a levo and t3 combo have to work out how much levo they need and how much t3 they need to feel well. It is not straightforward!
It could be that you are taking too much, but you need to post your blood test results, with ranges, for more help.
When were vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 last tested?
Are you on any vitamin supplements?
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested. Also EXTREMELY important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially if you have autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's) diagnosed by raised Thyroid antibodies
Do you have Hashimoto’s
Ask GP to test vitamin levels
You may need to get full Thyroid testing privately as NHS refuses to test TG antibodies if TPO antibodies are negative
Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .
If/when on NDT make sure to take last 1/2 or 1/3rd of daily dose 8-12 hours prior to test, even if this means adjusting time or splitting of dose day before test
Is this how you do your tests?
Private tests are available. Thousands on here forced to do this as NHS often refuses to test FT3 or antibodies

For thyroid including antibodies and vitamins
Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have special offers, Medichecks usually have offers on Thursdays, Blue Horizon its more random
If you can get GP to test vitamins and antibodies then cheapest option for just TSH, FT4 and FT3 £29 (via NHS private service )

come back with new post once you get results
Yes I have Hashimotos and in the past have had TPO tested which had come down considerably not had other antibodies tested though.
So if you already know you have high TPO antibodies you don’t need TG antibodies tested.....though if doing Medichecks or Blue horizon test it’s included anyway
Low vitamin levels are extremely common with hashimoto’s
Presumably you have had vitamin levels tested in past?
What vitamin supplements are you currently taking?
I usually take my meds after a blood test so would be 24 hrs + is this wrong ??
Taking NDT
osteogard contains calcium ,Magnesium Boron and D3 and K1 for osteopaenia.
Did you get your calcium tested before starting that supplement? Too much calcium is very bad for bones, it doesn't cure, nor prevent osteoporosis. And, it's highly unlikely that you'd be deficient in calcium - especially not if you're taking vit D3. D3 increases your absorption of calcium from food. It's very easy to find yourself with excess calcium in your blood which could block your arteries, and cause other problems.
Bones need magnesium, boron and D3, yes, but is there enough of any of them in the supplement? Did you get your D3 tested first?
As for K1, it's the wrong vitamin. It's K2 that you need for bones.
These multi pills are always a very bad idea. Taking supplements is such a personal thing, that you're never going to find a one-size-fits-all pill. And, they could do more harm than good. Nutritional supplements should always be taken individually according to need.
No Doc didn't test calcium levels just dished out Adcal tablets ,which I decided were not going to do much so sourced what I thought a more balanced med.So will have to rethink best option.
When I was on any form of NDT (Natural Dessicated Thyroid) such as NatureThroid, I had to split my dose in two for the day or else I would feel jittery and my heart would race a little in the late afternoon/early evening. So I took half my dose when I woke up and the other half around 3 pm, but you would have to find the times that work for you.
Please note that in the U.S., NatureThroid became unreliable about 2-3 years ago. After being stable on NT for years, people began experiencing hypo symptoms and their thyroid labs went south. You definitely want to monitor your bloodwork to make sure you are getting enough T4 and T3.
Helpful advice thanks.Yes I'm geyting some bloods done to see how things are.
Did you stop taking NDT ?
