Hi all had my liothyronine added to my repeats list recently at my GP surgery, i was so pleased but when i ticked the box for a repeat for it, it never turned up and i had a guess they had rejected it.
I popped in to inquire as to the whereabouts of my medication and was only told that it had been rejected.
I sent my GPs an e mail to ask why had it been rejected and was told it would not be added to repeat list. Im so confused as it was already on my repeats that how i could order it in the first place.
I read somewhere but unfortunately did not keep link that after three months trail period the care would be handed back to the GPs.
Does anyone have that link or other information that i can send to GPs.

If you were originally diagnosed as having clinical need for T3 by an NHS endocrinologist then GP MUST continue to prescribe and refer you back to Endocrinologist
You should have annual review with endocrinologist as matter of course
GP should not alter T3 prescription - should refer to endocrinologist

Good Afternoon <redacted name>,
Further to your enquiry on Wednesday 19th February 2020, we have spoken to the GP here in the surgery. The prescription you require, Liothyronine, can only be issued by the specialist consultant at the Hospital and therefore we can not add it to your repeats list.
If you have any queries, please call the hospital secretaries on <redacted secretaries' phone number>.
This was added to my repeats until i asked why it had been rejected now it has disappeared from my repeats list. I do have a refused on my patient access for this medication if needed to confirm that it had been on my repeats at the GPs.
If I were you I would write to the endo who originally prescribed it and explain. If you were prescribed it because you are not converting then your endo needs to explain this to the GP. I do not convert and could not function without it
