You could have a sensitivity to the fillers/binders in your tablet. Try taking one anti-histamine tablet one hour before your next dose and if you don't have a reaction, ask for a new prescription and ask pharmacist to source another pharmaceutical company's levothyroxine.
I am definitely going to do this. Thank you so much. I’ve experienced it before , ended up going to the gp to have my levels and kidneys and liver checked and all came back but maybe it’s the manufacturer!?
I’m all up to date and all come from the same pharmacy, so surely they’d all come from the same manufacturer?
Pharmaceutical companies are permitted to have a change in fillers/binders if it is necessary and sometimes it can affect us in a bad way. Due to getting the same brand/make we don't expect it to be different but sometimes it can be and it can affect us.
In the past we've had some complaints about a product that had not been problematic before.
There are, currently, four formulations of levothyroxine tablet available in the UK.
Same pharmacy means almost nothing. You absolutely have to check the product. For one own label product, even different dosages are made by different companies with different formulations.

I have had this for years. It started shortly after starting Levo. I changed brand and it continued. I’ve tried at least 4 different brands both here and abroad and also liquid levo and itch uncontrollably. I have been self medicating with T3 only as I can’t cope with the itching from Levo. My NHS endo has finally agreed that I can’t tolerate Levo but my CCG won’t allow my GP to prescribe T3 so I’m still getting it privately until I can see my endo again.
