Struggling with many symptoms, anxiety, insomnia, edema, muscle spasms, shoulder, neck and upper back pain, constipation. You get the idea😔.....
I was on T3 - 5mg daily
Synthroid - 75 mcg daily
3 weeks ago my Endo took me off T3 because of the symptoms I mentioned. Once he heard me say anxiety and insomnia the T3 was eliminated. I asked for a Synthroid increase but he wants me to wait 6 weeks....oh boy. (Had RAI 2 plus years ago after Graves Diagnosis.) Everyday is a struggle.
Recent labs are below..... I have such edema (at least I hope that’s what is happening) in my thoracic and back area I have to remove my bra.
Test Result ref range
T3(Free) 2.4 2.0-4.4 pg/mL
TSH 2.92 0.45-4.500 ulU/mL
T4(Free) 1.43 0.82-1.77ng/dL

Your TSH is too high and should be 1 or lower also your T3 is too low and should be in the upper third of the range. I would get another Doctor because yours doesn't know what they are doing and is keeping you ill. I would not wait 6 weeks because you will get sicker. Have you tried NDT? that does suit some people who haven't got a thyroid because some do need T3 to feel well so I was surprised your Doctor stopped it. Someone who is on T3 will be able to advise you better than me because I have never taken it only Thyroid S which is NDT.
I agree with lora. Your tsh is elevated for someone on treatment and your Ft3 is too low in range.
Anxiety and insomnia can be symptoms of undermedication.
Before I started t3 I couldn't sleep, had night sweats, shoulder pain, leg pain.,sore throat and voice husky.
I am slowly adjusting my doses of levo and t3 to become symptom free. Many of my symptoms have now gone.
Your labs only 3 weeks after the dose change will not show the true picture as it is too soon after the change in dose but I don't think things will improve without a change in medication. In my opinion that change would be t3 starting at 5mcg and building up to your optimal dose.
For t3 to be effective your vitamins need to be optimal. Have you had your levels checked?
