I have seen posters reference this diabetes drug so wanted to share this article. I don't mean to be alarmist, but am posting in the spirit of sharing information that people can evaluate for themselves.

Lots of research suggests metaformin linked to low B12

Research suggests Low B12 increases risk of gastric cancer

However it has also been shown in several studies (which I don't have handy right now) to block several cancer pathways (as do certain statins - only reason to take them). The cynic in me thinks that this is a big pharma reaction to people using metformin for cancer instead of more expensive drugs.

Not thought of that ,what a devious mind you have! I read an article in the Saturday Times colour supplement about an Israeli scientist ,based in the US I think, who reckons metformin prevents cancers,heart disease and stroke.
