Hypothyroidism test results

Hello everyone so have latest blood test results and one old test result .

20th November 2019

TSH 2.220 mlU/L 0.3 - 5.5 mlU/L

Serum Free T4 19.100 pmol/L 10.3 - 24.5 pmol/L

23rd December 2019

TSH 3.290 mlU/L 0.3 - 5.5 mlU/L

Serum Free T4 18.900 pmol/L 10.3 - 24.5 pmol/L

Serum Free T3 4.700 pmol/L 3.5 - 5.5 pmol/L

So hopefully this will shed light on the situation . These results were when I as on 75 mcg of Levothyroxine but now on 100 mcg of Levothyroxine and now stopped Propranolol because of suppression of T3 and side effects due another blood test on 25th February .

so dose was increased to 100mcg after 23rd December results?

TSH was too high, so that was correct to increase Levothyroxine

Are you getting same brand of Levothyroxine at each prescription?

Have you had vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 tested recently?

Hello SlowDragon good evening yes always the same brand Mercury Pharmaceuticals Eltroxin Levothyroxin Sodium. Says Advanz Pharmaceuticals On repeat slips so got to watch out for that. Done blood test for vitamin levels just waiting for results. Also taking B12 D3 and Omega 3 daily. FT4 was high though and FT3 was in range but could be better. Not sure why TSH is so high. Also forced my doctor to now test FT3 as well from now on and forced him to arrange a MRI scan of the thyroid appointment booked for 16th January. Also have an appointment for MRI Brain scan on 1st of February.

You're a good converter of FT4 to FT3

Both are exactly same 60% through range

Hello Slowdragon well that is good just not sure if FT4 is supposed to be that high though. But hopefully ft4 and ft3 will balance out with dose increase and stopping propranolol.

did the conversion ft4 60.56% ft3 60% so yep pretty good in that sense .
