How is it that I can go to bed pretty relaxed and pain free and then wake up feeling like I have been in a boxing ring?

I have wondered this myself! I know FT3 has a distinct cycle and peaks during the night in a normal person. There must be a reason for this. I wondered if lacking FT3 during this peak period means that we get nocturnal aches and pains. Maybe one of the more knowledgeable members will comment.

A year ago SlowDragon asked you for some results - you did not reply. Maybe knowing these these could help us to help you ... 🤔

Hi Marz, a lot has happened for me in the last year. I have not had any tests since moving home and surgery. I have just been noticing these aches and pains creeping in. I will need to book an appt with the Dr I think. Thank you for your response.

The thing is it doesn't last long once I am up and about. It is just that initial getting out of bed. I feel old.

Have you got Hashimto's, I have and every day the pain is somewhere different and it is a rare and wonderful day when I am symptom free. I keep my complaints to my self at home and amongst family and friends as much as I can because I have learn't that they just think I am neurotic or a hypochondriac, and I understand it seems like that because it varies from day to day. I would laugh if it wasn't so disheartening! Thank God for sites like this where sufferers can commiserate with each other.

Same! I keep my complaints to myself as my family and friends think im a hypochondriac and neurotic also. Its very isolating.

Dr Stasha Gominak has some interesting ideas about this. She is a neurologist who uses vitamin D and B vitamins to treat sleep disorders / neurological problems. Her website is drgominak.com.

I agree, it is an interesting site, and she also has a fascinating video re sleep disorders too. I followed her advice carefully and was able sort out my sleep problems...I too would recommend it. Of course the thyroid needs to be optimally medicated too.
