Marmarina, some people do have adverse effects when they start Levothyroxine, they usually pass within a week or two. You could reduce your dose to 50mcg for a week or two, then raise to 75mcg for a week or two before raising to the 100mcg prescribed.
Make sure you have a thyroid blood test 6-8 weeks after you have been taking 100mcg. The blood test should be a fasting (water only) test early in the morning when TSH is highest and Levothyroxine should be taken after the blood draw.

gotcha I will ask for 50 mcg when I visit my doctor next week.. for now I will stop the medication for one week.
Marmarina, you can cut the 100mcg in half to take 50mcg daily, probably easier done with a pillcutter available from pharmacies, or take 100mcg alternate days. It's not desirable to stop medication. I suggested the dose reductions as it may be a more tolerable way of getting the hormone into your system.

You really should not stop taking them, your body just needs to adjust, and it usually only takes a week or two. You body has been used to running at a reduced pace due to the lack of thyroxine in your system, probably for quite some time, and is now adjusting to running at a more normal pace. These symptoms will settle down, but it will take longer if you keep starting and stopping.
Try taking an anti-histamine tablet before your next dose. If it helps and you don't have such a reaction, ask for a change to another generic levo. Sometimes it's the fillers/binders that can affect us.
It does seem a bit of a high dose to start on.Your body has to get used t o the hormone.
