please could you give me your views on having Botox injections ? My eyelids are so droopy and heavy that they are making my eyes constantly irritated . I think a Botox injection would lift them out of my actual eyes.
But I don’t have the flu jab and when I had a tetanus injection I was quite exhausted and fluey for 3 weeks.
Many thanks

Woukd suggest it was better to spend your money on getting FULL Thyroid and vitamin testing and getting thyroid levels optimal
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested.
Also EXTREMELY important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially after Graves or with autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's) diagnosed by raised Thyroid antibodies
Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .
Last dose of Levothyroxine 24 hours prior to blood test.
(taking delayed dose immediately after blood draw).
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, best not mentioned to GP or phlebotomist)
Is this how you do your tests?
Private tests are available. Thousands on here forced to do this as NHS often refuses to test FT3 or antibodies or all vitamins
Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have special offers, Medichecks usually have offers on Thursdays, Blue Horizon its more random
Getting vitamins optimal can help improve conversion of FT4 to FT3 reducing hypothyroid symptoms
I appreciate this forum immensely for the wide range of views that are offered .
I feel in this particular case , I have not received the advice I requested. Instead, I have received unsolicited advice and I feel belittled by the assumptions made about my lack of knowledge about my own thyroid levels and embarrassed by the comments ‘suggest it would be better to spend your money on getting FULL tests’.
I was then surprised to see the commercial suggestions for the companies with whom I might like to spend my money instead. I feel judged and controlled .
. I have already had all the tests you mentioned as I have taken the advice I received last time and thanks to you all , I feel well. My GP did them all for me .
I don’t feel the need to justify my query about Botox , so I shan’t .
Many thanks for this forum and the time and effort the group administrators take in answering queries.
