Sorry it just popped into my mind that slow reflexes are another sign of hypothyroidism so it’s worth asking those to be checked while you are in the surgery too if you are still symptomatic but bloods within range. At least maybe that may help a doctor see a physical thing which is difficult to ignore.

Reflexes!
Slow ankle reflexes are a bit difficult to spot and don't always happen but they are very specific to hypothyroidism academic.oup.com/jcem/artic... and are an objective measure .
It was never tested by a GP when I first became hypothyroid 45 years ago, never tested by a GP in all that time since. The only person to ever test that was Dr Peatfield. I very much doubt whether any NHS GP would even consider it.
I remember my knee reflex being slow was picked up by a good chiropractor I visited years ago and she recommended I saw a doctor about it. I know they are still slow as everything feels delayed and out of synch. A quick search on dr peatfield and is would love to buy one of his books. Is that possible?
I’m being daft I can look those up on google. But if anyone has any recommendations?? Thankyou for replying. The reflex thing is very interesting to me as I can only explain my hypothyroidism as it’s as if the sound of the drum comes after it’s been hit for me not literally but all through the day I’m tripping up and missing the beat.
Yes, "Your Thyroid and How to Keep It Health" by Dr P. I like this book, aimed at the patient, I dip into it every so often. He's retired now, many people will miss him, no-one else like him left.
Thankyou very much Seasidesusie I will have a look for that. Love your name by the way! Very breezy! X
My GP and Consultant both refused to test for slow reflexes, straight stares and adamant No's.
Gosh really? I wander why? It’s such a simple test after all.
