Hi.
Due to having high rT3, I decided to try T3 (taking 25ug daily). As I'm nearly out of T3 (until I order more), is it ok to stop taking T3 abruptly?
Also, could anyone PM me a source of T3 (without a prescription)?
Thanks.

Likely to feel extremely unwell.
Even Cutting down very very gradually can cause very unpleasant symptoms
How much T3 are you currently taking?
Any Levothyroxine?
Taking 25ug per day.
Are you only taking T3?
The trouble with taking any dose of T3, even an inadequate dose....TSH will frequently drop to near zero, switching your own thyroid production off
Have you had full Thyroid and vitamin testing since starting on T3?
Bloods should be retested 6-8 weeks after any dose change
Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .
Last dose of Levothyroxine 24 hours prior to blood test. (taking delayed dose immediately after blood draw).
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, best not mentioned to GP or phlebotomist)
If/when also on T3, make sure to take last dose 8-12 hours prior to test, even if this means adjusting time or splitting of dose day before test
Is this how you do your tests?
Private tests are available. Thousands on here forced to do this as NHS often refuses to test FT3 or antibodies or all vitamins

Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have special offers, Medichecks usually have offers on Thursdays, Blue Horizon its more random
High reverse T3 is often due to low iron or ferritin levels
What are your levels like?
Vitamin D, folate and B12 too?
