The appointment is in just under 3 weeks and I have a few questions.
What should I expect? I know to ask for an Ultrasound of my neck as my barium swallow test came back normal, are there any other tests I should request? I genuinely don't know what sort of questions I should be asking, is there anything you wish you'd asked at your first appointment?
I also found out that one of my aunties is a poor converter of T4 to T3, is this something I should mention or is it irrelevant at this point? I'm genuinely still in shock my referral got accepted and that the appointment isn't months away.

You may be lucky and find your Endo knows what they are talking about but they are rare beasts. Most Endos specialise in diabetes, and many of us have come out of Endo appointments furious or in tears. I hope you have a good appointment and come out feeling the way forward is positive.
I think the best thing you can do is browse as many threads as you can manage to get the overall feeling of the thyroid and how it works, and what drugs work for which people. Good luck!
Thank you! I've spoken directly to a Thyroid specialist endocrinologist and he's the one who told me to get the referral sorted out, he's prescribed T4/T3 combos in the past too so fingers crossed I do get to see him!
