Hi Diane, yes, some people that are using NP were feeling good on it until the company changed the fillers. There is a discussion about it in an email group. I am a moderator in the group. Supposedly it has to do with the new batch. The company is aware of the issues. Message me for more info.

How long and what dose

Maybe 2 years? I’m newly diagnosed, so all kinds of doses from 2 to 3.5 grains while we tried to regulate a working dose.

As an aside, my low ferritin has been thwarting any efforts to feel better so that has helped me cut down. But no reactions to NatureThroid or feeling that it didn’t work from one batch to another. That’s not to say others have, I just didn’t have a reaction to the new formulation.

My doctor switched me to NP from Armour Thyroid in July. After a couple of weeks I began to feel terrible. When I got my labs done the following were my values on Armour then after switching to NP:

Free T3 - 2.9 to 2.8

Free T4 - 0.9 to 0.7

TSH - .02 to 3.52

I switched back to Armour and felt better within a few days.

I tried armour it gave me a rash! 😂
