I had the idea that if you started using Regaine, you had to take it for life. I could be wrong…

Just looked it up and yes new hair starts growing back but you are right-if you stop it drops out again!

My hair really improved from taking a Hair, Skin & Nail supplement. About 2 weeks on Cytoplan's one, and people were commenting how much healthier my hair looked. This year I've been trying solar's version, but the Cytoplan one just worked that bit better.

Presume this is Cytoprotect?

I've had a look, and the one I took last year has been discontinued. I'm guessing this is the same one rebranded (although it costs £4 now!)

Thanks. I presume you mean £4 MORE? There are others on the market eg Hairfluence, so they should be aware of the competition.

Yes, sorry £4 more! It's tough to know the quality of the competition - cytoplan are a good brand, so you absorb it better. I've not heard of hairfluence, so I don't know if they're decent or not.

Several things you should be aware of if taking Cytoplan:

* it contains copper. Hypos are usually high in copper, low in zinc. Excess copper is something you really don't want, so it would be a good idea to get tested for copper before taking any.

* It contains iodine. Hypos should not be taking iodine, you are already getting quite a bit from your thyroid hormone replacement, and excess iodine is anti-thyroid. Get tested before taking anymore.

* It contains biotin. Biotin in the system can skew blood test results, so you would need to stop taking it 7 days before a blood draw.

:)
