Diagnosis of greavs

For all of you been fallowing and commenting on my post i have had my appointment with the endocrinologist today have confirmed that it is graves and started me on propylthiouracil 50mg twice i day anyone been on this drug ? Did it work i have said one my other post really freaking out over hair loss since a lost posted i have cut my long hair into a bob read up on this mediation can also cause hair loss feel like a losing bettle am diabetic as well my blood sugar is all over just feel awful all the time been told it my effect me from having a baby witch is really up setting thanks everyone for comment on my previous post

I was on PTU for quite a while and did well on it, but it did make my hair fall out, after about a year the first time and then after 3 months the second time I tried it. Went off all meds for a while and hair stopped falling out. Went back on Methimazole which is just like carbimazole and it's been good too. Levels went back to normal within about 3 months. But hair started falling as soon as I started taking it. Started taking Hairfluence (hair vitamins) and have been on it for about 5 months. Hair fallout has stopped!

Hya thanks commenting was it noticable to others ? I have brought so hair vitamin it really getting me down.

Was my hair falling out noticeable to others? No one said anything so I'm not sure...

Yeah i see my hair falling out it shower loads everyone saying worrying to much .. i gave brought some Biotin really hoping that helps

I took PTU at the beginning just make sure you have regular blood test because it can make you go underactive. It can rarely cause liver failure as well. I found that until you thyroid results are normal your hair will continue to fall out .... I have tried all kinds of vitamins and hair products I even tried Regaine nothing worked I'm afraid
