I have been in poor health for two years now. I have severe diverticulitis, IBS and a hiatus hernia for which I take Esomeprazole 40 mg

I also take 25 mcg of thyroxine. I’m so tired and have terrible flushes every day and night especially when eating. My throat is so dry especially at night and I sometimes find it hard to swallow. My doc will not recheck thyroid as says one blood test a year is enough

Two years ago members explained you needed a dose increase. Hiatus Hernia can be due to muscle weakness caused in turn by low thyroid hormones. Did you have the vitamins and minerals tested ? - especially the B12 as you are taking a PPI which can lower levels. Lots of answers in your previous post ...

I had two bouts in hospital on antibiotic drip for infection diverticulitis and had low potassium levels also low vitamin D so have dose every 3 months

Thyroid hormones - especially T3 - have a positive effect on the gut. Due to your very small dose I expect your T3 result will be very low in range and causing problems. I was diagnosed with Crohns after Gut TB over 40 years ago so after loads of surgery I know a thing or two about guts !!

Do you Hashimotos ? Have you had B12 -Folate - Ferritin tested ? Bolus dosing of VitD has often been discussed as not being as effective as taking a daily dose. What was your level and have you been re-tested ? Important co-factors are suggested - magnesium and K2-MK7 - do ask if you need more info. Have you looked back at your last post ?

Have you tried being gluten free to help a reduction in gut inflammation - which is what diverticulitis is ...

My doctor here in France is useless but I’m going to see the doctor who is the lead here. I’m waiting on dermatology appt and have to phone fri to see if I can get one before we visit uk for my daughter’s birthday. I’m going to ask for a full blood test and complete thyroid too. My neck came up in big welts, it has flared up three times now

The Full Blood Count does not include B12 - Folate - Ferritin or VitD. Do you have Hashimotos ? The welts could be linked to an inflamed thyroid.

Are you taking the important co-factors with your VitD ? - as mentioned above.

Are you gluten free ? Please read through your thread again. Please try to answer questions asked rather than add another condition. I am trying to help by building a picture of your condition which can be difficult without relevant information ...

Have you considered private testing through Thyroid UK whilst you are in the UK ? Do you have Hashimotos ?
