T3 issues

Hi everyone

I’m currently taking T4 only. I switch between 112 mcg and 125 mcg depending on my symptoms. I feel ok but I lack energy or interest in doing anything. I’m like a shadow of myself if that makes any sense. In the spring I took Cytomel T3 for several weeks and felt much better but it caused severe acne all over my face and neck so I had to stop it. Endo says Cytomel doesn’t cause acne but I did research and it can do. My question is- does T3 cause the acne or would it be fillers in the medication? Should I try another formulation?

Thanks 😊

Acne can be linked to B12 issues

Have you had vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 tested recently?

Do you supplement B12?

I think I've tried just about all the T3 brands, and none of them gave me acne. What did give me acne was taking DHEA, because it all converted to testosterone. Maybe you have high testosterone? I did have acne before I was diagnosed, though. And a 50 year-old with acne is not a good look. It went when I started levo. Perhaps you're under-medicated?
