Starting to walk even a small amount more than usual is an enormous step and can be painful. I’ve had my own issues this last year so I do know what it’s like. Well done and keep posting.

thank you

ive gone from averaging 3000 steps to 5000'ish depending how big the steps are but that gets me the 2 miles

I must admit I’ve never counted my steps. I have a regular walk with the dog and only managed the halfway mark several times this year. Bit frightening for someone that’s always walked everywhere. Getting better but knocked my confidence about going alone. X

i got a fit bit a few years ago to track my heart rate so use that now

i dont go anywhere alone

last month i did a big walk with my son and daughter, we were almost home and i told them i didnt think id make it

my 12 year old said 'dont worry if you pass out you will have scratches on your back because we will drag you home' lol

i told him on yesterdays walk if anything ever happened to get phone out of my bag and call 999, he said 'ok but i didnt think i was allowed to go in your bag' i had to explain that in an emergency it was fine

The comment of your son made me laugh and mandy72, with your large family and extended family you've enough to do daily without the fund-raising too. I will contribute to.

yes day to day life is enough for anyone, my daughter and two boys moved back home over a year ago so its been fun, shes just decorating her flat now and is hoping to move soon

i did the 50 mile challenge for cancer uk through slimming world and did 65 miles over 25 days and figured if i did a monthly walk for charity then it would help me too as well as raising money

ive just recieved a donation and if that was from you then thank you so much and i mean that with all my heart
