Got my test result of cortisol
Can anyone explain
6-8am 4. (13-24nM)
11-1pm. 5. (5-10nM)
4-5pm. 3. (3-8nM)
10-midnight. 2. (1-4nM)

Your results :
Sample 1 : 6-8am Result : 4. Reference range : (13-24nM)
Sample 2 : 11-1pm. Result : 5. Reference range : (5-10nM)
Sample 3 : 4-5pm. Result : 3. Reference range : (3-8nM)
Sample 4 : 10-midnight. Result : 2. Reference range : (1-4nM)
Optimal results - see Example 1 on this link :
rt3-adrenals.org/cortisol_t...
• Morning at the top of the range
• Noon approximately 75% of the range
• Evening close to 50% of the range
• Night time at the bottom of the range
So, if we compare your result to the optimal levels :
Sample 1 : Optimal = 24 --- Yours = 4 --- You produce 17% of the cortisol that you should.
Sample 2 : Optimal = 8.75 --- Yours = 5 --- You produce 57% of the cortisol that you should.
Sample 3 : Optimal = 4.5 --- Yours = 3 --- You produce 67% of the cortisol that you should.
Sample 4 : Optimal = 1 --- Yours = 2 --- You produce 200% of the cortisol that you should.
Totals : Optimal = 38.25 --- Yours = 14 --- You produce 37% of the cortisol that you should.

Your total cortisol output throughout the day is far too low. I think, before you do anything else, that you should show your GP your results and ask for an early morning blood cortisol test and if the result is low then ask for a referral to an endo with expertise in adrenal health. There is a possibility that you have Addison's Disease or some other problem that causes hypocortisolism / adrenal insufficiency.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adren...
Note that adrenal insufficiency is life-threatening if you were to go into adrenal crisis.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adren...
Be aware that endos are often poorly educated on the subject of adrenal insufficiency. They check for Addison's Disease (primary adrenal insufficiency) but rarely check for secondary and tertiary adrenal insufficiency. To test these it isn't only cortisol that needs to be tested but ACTH as well (a GP can't do an ACTH test, so a referral to an endo is necessary).
Endos would need to do a Short Synacthen Test. For info on that, read pages 68 - 70 in this document :
imperialendo.co.uk/Bible201...
Check before doing an SST that ACTH will be tested as well (sometimes endos don't request it when they should). It needs to be put on ice and rushed to the lab.

If it turns out that you don't have adrenal insufficiency or failure of any kind after testing then there are self-help measures that you can use to improve adrenal health. You should post about that when you've seen your GP and had a response to the blood cortisol test.
For the early morning blood cortisol test, blood should be drawn between 8am and 9am. It is best to have this done having fasted overnight (eat your evening meal/supper as usual). Eat breakfast after the blood has been taken. You can drink plain water freely during the fasting period. Try to stay as calm as possible before the blood draw, avoid arguments, road rage, screaming children, don't talk more than you have to.
Hey
Tnx for the reply
The dr I am going to say that I have adrenal fatigue and low thyroid
I have stronge abdominal pain
And can’t move so much
Have the symptoms since 5 years
He gave me progesterone cream
And natural thyroid medicine
How do I know the difference between adrenal fatigue and other adrenal problems
The strongest symptom I have is light headed and very amutional and scared I am diying
Adrenal fatigue is essentially a condition in which the adrenal glands are not producing enough cortisol for the patient to feel well, but they are not suffering from adrenal insufficiency or adrenal failure. Mainstream doctors dismiss "adrenal fatigue" as a made-up condition. I would advise not using the term with an NHS doctor or an NHS endocrinologist, for example. (Do you live in the UK or elsewhere?)
The way to identify adrenal failure or adrenal insufficiency is to have the tests I listed in my earlier reply...
i.e. Start with an early morning blood cortisol test. If the result is low enough you will need an endocrinologist to do a Short Synacthen Test.
if it turns out that you have adrenal insufficiency or failure then you would need to be treated for the rest of your life :
Those are other test I have made
T3 4.8. (3.5-6.5)
Estradiol 224
Throglobulin Ab small then 20
Anti thyroid peroxid small then 45
In your previous post you gave various results, as follows :
Tsh 2.7
T3 4.8
T4 12.6
Ferritin 30.1
B12 289
Testosterone 0.5
Anti thyroid peroxid <45
Vitamineb D 100
Thyroglobulin <20
Estradiol 224
Do you have the reference ranges for all the above results? You've given the reference range for your T3 just now, but we need the range for all your tests.
