Advice please

I started Levo in April 2018, 50mg. Aug 18 it was increased to 75mg. End of October 18 symptoms started coming back. Dr would not increase levo. July 19 I stopped taking levo.(this was because I want to see if when I start Levo again, if it alleviates any symptoms) my understanding of the results posted suggests to me Levo should have been increased around october 18. Drs have made me feel like a hypochondriac. This is the only test of recent. Can I just have your opinions on what I have posted please without asking for t3 etc as I do not have them. Thank you in advance..

Previous post from 5 months ago suggests you were under treated

Would strongly recommend getting Full Thyroid and vitamin testing privately after 6-8 weeks back on 75mcg Levothyroxine

Have you had vitamin D, ferritin, folate and B12 tested at all....or recently?

TG antibodies can be high, even if a TPO antibodies are negative. NHS refuses to test TG antibodies in this situation

Sleep apnea can be linked to Hashimoto's

Do you always get same brand of Levothyroxine?

Many people find Levothyroxine brands are not interchangeable.

Once you find a brand that suits you, best to make sure to only get that one at each prescription. Watch out for brand change when dose is increased or at repeat prescription.

Many patients do NOT get on well with Teva brand of Levothyroxine. Though it is the only one for lactose intolerant patients.

Teva is the only brand that makes 75mcg tablet.

I think the brand is the same. I stopped it to prove a point. I think the results prove it. Just hoping they will accept it now but doubt it..I had so many things going on when I started levo till it was increased. Bradycardia and shingles sleep apnoea. I left it till now as everything else has been dealt with. I'm on vitd3 and take b12 complex. I'm really fed up with it all all I get advised about is how to lose weight..

You may need to go over GP's head and see Thyroid specialist endocrinologist

Email Dionne at Thyroid Uk for list of recommended thyroid specialists

But before doing so you need to get FULL Thyroid and vitamin testing 6-8 weeks after being back on Levothyroxine

How low was vitamin D?

How much vitamin D are you supplementing

Have levels been retested

Remember to stop taking any supplements that contain biotin (eg vitamin B complex) a week before all blood tests

On 75mcg - are you taking a 50mcg and 25mcg tablet?

If it's a single tablet it will be Teva brand

Vitamin d was 65.5 mmol last test I take 1000iu d3 every day. The consultant wouldn't increase levo either. Hoping he will in September.all they seem to be interested in is my weight. I told the dr today my BP was low on waking 107/44 she said it's good to be low wasn't interested how low it was. Really fed up with it all now .
