A lot of people in US seem to think there is a connection but I really don't know tbh

Are you taking PPIs? Because there is a connection between PPIs and hair loss.

Hello, yes i have started take PPI Lansoprazole , as it part of treatment GP has prescribed along with antibiotics. .

Treatment should be suited to the individual. And, if you are hypo, you probably have low stomach acid, anyway. Did he check your acid level?

It mentions in this article that PPIs can cause hair loss:

No GP did not check my stomach acid- I am wondering whether I should take lansoprazole when I already have low Stomach acid.

Also Should i stop taking my supplements zinc b complex biotin whilst on all these antibiotics for h- pylori

Not without discussing it with your doctor, no. Explain to him about hypos having low stomach acid - and, incidentally, that's probably why you got h-pylori in the first place, the acid protects you from infections like that, but if it's low, they can take a hold.

And, I don't think PPIs should be stopped cold turkey, they need to be weaned off.

Do you think hypothyroid low stomach acid caused H-pylori or

H-pylori caused the hypothyroid hashimotos?

I don't think H-pylori causes Hashi's, does it? I've never heard that before.

Hello everyone , just an update - my hairs still falling out - it all over my flat... its must be 6/7 since H-pylori eradication. I am now seeing a functional health practitioner who costing me an arm and leg ie. lots of money. im just hoping something can be done. I feel like i will give it another month and start taking T3 liothyronine. bit nervous about taking it. Because the T3 could help my hair growth - on 75mg of levothyroxine at the moment.

Any thoughts and advice?

Not many people are going to see this update, I'm afraid. It would be better if you copied and pasted it into a new thread. :)
