Hi ,

My GP called and left a message my T4 is around 25 and TSH 1.5. My concern in I'm 6 weeks pregnant will this affect my pregnancy ? My T4 is high but TSH is fine and I'm on levothyroxine 75mg daily. I will be referred but this could be a good few weeks away. Any information on what these numbers mean ? Hyper hypo confused. Currently diagnosed with hypothyroid and celiac . I have symptoms hair loss for 6 months could this be the cause even though TSH is 1.6 but free T4 is high 25.

Hi Orangepie1, if you can get a print-out of your results with the ranges from the surgery and post, members will then be able to respond. The reason is that labs differ and so do the ranges and it makes it easier to comment.

Congratulations on your pregnancy and you will have to look after yourself.

We cannot comment unless the ranges are stated as labs differ and it makes it easier to comment.

All blood tests have to be at the very earliest, fasting (you can drink water) and allow a gap of 24 hours between last dose of levo and test and take it afterwards. This method keeps the TSH at its highest and means we can comment properly.
