Hi I've had a underactive thyroid for over 11 years, never found the docs to be helpful, infact more condescending than anything else, so I've had learn about my condition. I've tried all the usual stuff, given up gluten, soya, and dairy except butter which is a fat and I tolerate well. Currently doing intermittent fasting which is working wonders for my weight and general health, but for the last few weeks I've got stuck at the same weight. I feel the frustration of all the members on here, I'm happy to help with my experiences but also always happy to learn more...

Welcome to the forum 765nottyash .
Feel free to join in any threads, and of course ask your own questions. We have a wealth of experience here and there are many long-time hypo patients, personally I have been on Levo for 44 years and in all that time I've not come across a doctor who understands hypothyroidism or how to treat it properly.
Do you feel well on Levo SeasideSusie?
I was well for about 20 years then went downhill. After many years of ill health I discovered myself that I had nutrient deficiencies and poor T4:T3 conversion, sorted this myself and now seem to be optimally medicated thyroid-wise with Levo plus a little T3, no thanks to any doctors. But of course, I've picked up other conditions along the way, no suprise at my age.
I find Nature Thyroid works best for me and diet, I've been underactive thyroid for over ten years, had many ups and downs, intermittent fasting as helping get some of the weight off an makes me feel more alive.
