Iodine Supplements

It's not often discussed here. Have you tested and found to be deficient? Deficiency is rare in the UK as it's easily available from food and you will be getting iodine by taking Levo (it's not an added ingredient). Iodine should only be supplemented if deficient.
Not tested but I’m thinking of asking for it. I had radioiodine treatment 7 years ago and am on 87.5mcg. I do eat iodine rich food but not daily.
Milk and yogurt are good sources of iodine, haddock and cod are also good sources.

British Thyroid Foundation information about iodine
Please read Lynne Farrow ‘The Iodine Crisis’. People with thyroid disease are very likely to be iodine deficient and it would appear that we do not get enough iodine in our diet. I have been supplementing with iodine now for 6 months and am feeling so much better but this should be done under guidance from an iodine literate naturopath.
