Pregnant 5 weeks and thyroid fluctuating

Hi im 5 weeks pregnant and my kneck has got swollen.. also symptoms are going from under to ova active... been to have bloods done but have to wait for results... what can i take for the swelling?x

You need to wait for the results, they should only take a day or two.

"Under to over" with a swollen neck sounds like a Hashi attack. There is research that says replacing missing thyroid hormones and keeping iron & nutrients optimal will lessen the chance of further Hashi attacks.

Your previous post complains of many ailments associated with Hashi and an intolerance of thyroid meds. In order to avoid a risk of fatal loss, and reduce the chance of obstetric and neonatal complications, it is vitally important to keep your TSH low and medicate adequate T4 to increase levels by 20 - 50% to meet the demand of your baby (who doesn't develop a gland capable of producing thyroid hormone until about about 12 weeks of gestation).

Ensure your GP knows you are pregnant and may require a dose increase ASAP.
