The products from Concordia are branded Mercury Pharma.

(And Concordia have renamed themselves Advanz.)

Yes - I prefer Actavis (also packaged as Almus and Northstar), but quite a number prefer Mercury Pharma.

It really is difficult to predict how well an individual will do on any given product.

Can I just ask why you stopped meds for a year and how you managed to go without them? May. E a little more of your history will help and also some lab results before you stopped and now

Hi I stopped taking them originally because I forgot to take them then after a couple of weeks I actually started to have less brain fog, less aching, and felt like me again I went to the doctors as I know it can lead to complications and asked if I could take something else but she said no due to cost so refused to take meds. She wrote to the endocrinologist last September for advice in the mean time my bloods were checked regularly in January my tsh level was 12 and then is April they were 9.38. Finally had a letter back from endocrinologist saying there are 6 brands of levothyroxine so would benefit from trying another brand. Was told I was going on Concordia however when I picked it up it was teva as they can’t get Concordia xx

Phew! glad you are going to continue. I was on Mercury Pharma for many years but have heard some brands only go to certain pharmacies but don't know if Concordia is one one them. It might be worthwhile though see if other pharmacies that you can get to can get it for you. If anyone you considered says yes then ask your doctor to name them on the prescription.
