Hi I take Mercury Pharma now and feel ok on it. In the past I was given different brands which caused dizziness. My last prescription I was given a brand I know make me dizzy so I gave it back to pharmacist who said they would try and get Mercury Pharma. My husband collected the new prescription it is in a brown bottle with no brand on, Just says 84 Levothyroxine 100mcg tabs. The past 3 days I’ve felt dizzy, could these tablets be a different brand to Mercury Pharma?

Loulou54,
Disgraceful.
You are entitled to a Patient Information Leaflet with each and every prescription. You should also be advised of batch number and expiry date. It is so very easy for me to write that you should have asked at the time - but you know for the future. We all make mistakes.
Can you describe the tablets? Any markings - look on both sides - letters or numbers or anything else.

I agree it's disgraceful. The quality of our lives depends on the quality of our medication. Don't let it happen again and I would let them know it's entirely unsatisfactory.
Find a pharmacy open tomorrow and take theseback and insist on Mercury Pharma brand.
I am the same and can only tolerate MP Levo. It can be difficult to locate. You may have to ring around. Nether my local Boots or Lloyds will supply.
I find Tesco's extremely helpful
That’s so naughty, when I was on thyroxine my body knew a different brand. You can ask your GP to name the brand on your prescription. This way you will and should get the one you want and need. X
I have tried all the different makes of Levothyroxine over the years and find that Mercury Pharma helps me the best. BUT I still have every symptom of Thyroid problems and have been hitting my head against a brick wall with my doctor for years and years - I have put on seven stone in weight too and hardly eat anything.. She says my T3 results are normal but wont prescribe it. I feel that T3 is my problem and am going to buy it on the Internet. I read that one lady did this and lost five stone!
I too can only take Mercury Pharma levothyroxine. Boots chemist gave me their own brand which caused huge problems with my stomach. I returned them and they sourced Mercury Pharma. I had to wait a few days for them and they were issued in a brown bottle exactly the same as pictured. I was suspicious that they may have been another brand but I have had no reaction. I also cannot tolerate the Teva brand as this affects my joints and eyes.
I have tried them all, even trolled Internet for other peoples findings, tried Wokhardt, Teva and many others and Mercury Pharma works best for me. Fingers crossed that NHS don't discontinue this make, they have done it with other tablets I am on and its extremely annoying when you get different side effects.
