I've been feeling really unwell since starting T.R T-Man a week ago. Should I stop taking it?

I've moved from Nature-thyroid to T-Man over a week ago and within two days I feel ill. It started with a sore throat and chesty cough and general lack of energy, and now I have acid type gut pain and severe bloating.

I have no other heath issues apart from UAT. Could the T-Man have bought these symptoms on? I'm not sure whether to ride the storm for a little longer or pull the plug and reorder nature-thyroid.

Thanks in advance for any advice

Re. Stopping taking it, no one can really answer that but you; but it's possible that the first set of symptoms are coincidentally, a viral thing. The second set 'may' be due to TR T Man, because instead of a film coating, the tablets have a sugar-coating so their transit through the stomach is likely different from those protected by a film-coating; but it has to be said that the brand does have its supporters who presumably experience no such side-effects. There's also the possibility of one of the inactive ingredients being tolerated less well by you. The other issue is that the brand is no longer being manufactured and when existing stocks are gone, there won't be any more, so you will have to change again at some point.

Really? I didn't realise they are discontinuing the brand. Do you know why?

No I don't, I'm afraid. I can only guess that those already happily taking ThyroidS or Thiyroid didn't bother swapping to the new kid on the block, and perhaps the low numbers sold made is commercially unviable to continue. Or perhaps the manufacturer's over-emphasis on the implied improved bio-availability of the sugar-coated tablet had the reverse effect of putting people off. But I'm only guessing.

I am in the same as you KayPoole . I switched from Nature-throid a month ago, and have been limping along with TR Mann.

I felt very unwell on Naturethroid, and feel marginally better on TR Mann. I think if you can weather the storm, and stick with it for a bit longer your symptoms might iron out. I suffered terrible vertigo/tinnitus/deafness which may have been something viral, which I still have but not as bad. I really don't know if it was to do with swapping over, or something I would have had anyway. I think I have a bit more energy. I am going to try and stick with it and hopefully everything will get better.
