dontbelieveit I had CT contrast last year with no problems whatsoever. I was advised by the nursing staff to have a nice long soak in the bath with plenty of Epsom salts to help draw out any toxins. How much this helps I am not sure but its certainly a nice way to relax afterwards!
dontbelieveit I have only had TPO antibodies test which came back negative. It is my understanding that as ONLY TPO antibodies were tested then this doesn't necessarily rule out hashimotos. However in my case I think its very unlikely and I believe treatment would still be the same.
I don't have hashimotos. I had a CT scan 3 years ago. I reacted by going hyper but it didn't last too long. My T3 went high but my ferritin was low at the time so T3 was pooling T4 was low. It took over a year to get back to my old levels but for me the iodine gave me a good boost until it wore off. Strange thing now iodine in any form makes my heart race
Yes but wasn't on medication at the time I had a TSH of 4.1 and low T4 and T3. Ever since the scan my TSH has been about 2.5 with low T4 and T3. I'm on 50mcg of levothyroxine now but private prescription NHS not interested.
