I am new here, but I have had this condition for nearly 2 years and it is slowly getting worse. It started off with occasional internal tremors waking me at night, now it is every night, sometimes mild and sometimes what i will describe as severe. they will wake me with tremors from neck to knees, my heart thumping but with my normal 55/65 heart rate and a headache which lasts about 24 hours. No answers forthcoming from medical professionals is very frustrating. any answers?

Hi - Welcome ! Did you mean you have had a thyroid problem for two years or two years of the night time tremors ?
Do you have any thyroid test results with ranges you can post ? What dose of T4 are you taking ?
Sounds as if it could be related to your adrenals.
Hi there. I have the same re tremors and headaches. These started only a year or so ago. I have been treated for hypothyroidism for about 20 years now and my thyroid disease seems to be well controlled by my current dose of Levothyroxine.
However I also have a systemic autoimmune disease called Sjögren’s which I get no treatment for apart from topically/ palliative. This disease causes severe fatigue due to high inflammation so I think this probably accounts for the internal tremors as I don’t sleep well at all due to widespread pain. The tremors are worse when I have chronic gastritis pain so I think there could be a problem with my blood sugar levels but I do not have Diabetes it Coeliac and avoiding gluten hasn’t made much difference. Avoiding alcohol and refined sugars really helps avoid the worst attacks though and eating little (keeping to a very healthy diet)and often seems to work best for me.
My headaches are due to significant degenerative disc disease affecting my neck. This apparently causes muscle spasms in my neck which are causing referred pain in my head and eyes - like migraine. This is quite a common cause of headaches apparently - due to poor posture and sometimes due to herniated discs. I think the night tremors might be connected to this but I also have a fine tremor now affecting my entire body 24/7.
I’m not saying any of this applies to you of course but I thought it might help if I explained where my similar symptoms are coming from.

Welcome to our forum.
Internal tremors is a common condition on the forum and one that is failed to be recognised by the medical profession. My own have improved but still switch on & off when I overdo life.
Although the common denominator here is obviously thyroid issues, I believe the internal tremors to be connected to tired or sensitive adrenals, which become compromised after supporting years of low thyroid hormone.
Have you been diagnosed with a thyroid condition ?
Are you medicating Levothyroxine ?
Do you have any blood test results to post, complete with ranges (numbers in brackets) for members to comment.
