I have Hashimotos (?) with positive antibody tests, but have recently tested positive for Graves antibodies. What are the longer term implications? Is this common? Thanks!

Oops, did you mean to send this to me as a reply? I don’t understand!
eunicewalker,
Welcome to our forum.
With regard to this and your previous post, yes you can have all three types of antibodies. And to complicate things further TPOAb & TGAb diagnose Hashimotos but TRAb’s can either stimulate (Graves) or block (Hashi).
The dominating antibodies will dictate how your thyroid behaves but it is more usual for Graves to predate Hashi.
If you post thyroid blood tests complete with ranges (numbers in brackets) members will comment.
