I wrote as an overwhelmed newbie last time.( still am).
I have been on 20mg Carbimazole for 6 weeks and propranolol 10mg morning 20mg evening since. My next appointment is 22nd May.
I have had bloods done to test TSH,T4,T3 and says Anti TSH Receptor as Antibody. The blood results have not been sent to GP. Hope to get them next week.
I started off having flu like symptoms and body aches but these have gone now.
My heart rate has generally been decreasing. I decided to drop to 10mg propranolol in mornings and evenings as I wasn’t sure how long to keep taking with Carbimazole.Ihave now stared having chest pain that is felt on my upper back as well. Worse evenings about an hour after eating. Could this be linked to the medicines?
Also can I ask if the Carbimazole has been working how low should my T4 be on these next results. The range last time at high end was 22 and I was only on 23.
Sorry to be so vague but I have no results in writing as I never had promised letter follow up last appointment.
If I get all results with ranges next week can I post again please?
Thank you,

The first blood tests I had were general after I went to doctor with virus and as my heart rate was so high (128) they did an ECG and took blood. I was just told that the blood test indicated an overactive thyroid and a referral was made to hospital. All I knew was T4 was 23. I had lost weight and was in an awful nervous state.
Hopefully now I’m reading on here I will be more assertive and obtain all info needed. Hopefully the Endo can tell me why I have chest pain.
Yes, but you should still ask for a print-out of those results. 23 for an FT4 doesn't sound all that high - not high enough to suggest Grave's. You need to know exactly what they were and the ranges.
