After being on medication for 9 months I now have my latest results. I am self medicating now as my GP and Endo will only prescribe 25mcg of Thyroxine a day (double dose on weekends) and will resolutely refuse to budge on this.
I haven't taken the Thyroxine since start of year instead I tried a small dose of cytomel for a few weeks which did not budge my levels and 4 weeks of 1 grain of NDT (Thyroid S) which did not do much either.
Since start of March I started on 2 grains a day of Thyroid S and my results are as follows: this was in the morning 9 hours after last grain of NDT
TSH 2.2 (0.27 - 4.2)
Free T3 5.78 (3.1 - 6.8)
Free T4 9.32 - (12 - 22)
So T3 is finally moving in the right direction and TSH is around 2. T4 still really suppressed though.
So how do I proceed? should I add another half a grain? or should I add in 25mcg of thyroxine to boost my T4?
I feel ok, but maybe if my numbers were even better I would improve further? I don't know!

Feeling ok is paramount and your FT3 is good. T4 often falls low when we medicate T3 (found in NDT). Many feel better with a lower TSH but if you feel good, stay as you are.
Considering these results were nine hours after meds, any increase may take T3 levels over range during peaks, risking possible disruption to sex hormones.
2 grains of Thyroid S obviously suits you. Just ensure to keep iron and all nutrient levels optimal to keep it working and progressing to a further improved health.
Hi it looks as though your on the right track with your thyroid s. This is what I take my TSH read 0.005 this is suppressed. I have no thyroid though.
It would be good for you to have your other things tested sometimes it will improve your outcome. B12, Folate, Ferratin, Vitamin D plus antibodies, look it up on the Medichecks site.
You could raise you FT3 a little try another 1/4 grain and see how you feel. My own T4 is low too but I feel well on two grains, split at 1 x 6 am. and the other at 2pm.
OK well you can only try to add more NDT. My FT4 is high on 2.5 grains I don't know much about the FT4 side of it, sorry. You are on the same dose as me i.e 2 grains = 76 mcg T4 and 18 mcg of T3. I think that I would try adding more NDT first for a few week and see how you feel then.
