Nutri thyroid
is that a supplement? curious if anybody is using it.
We used to get lots of questions about Nutri-Thyroid - but not so many recently.
The Nutri Advanced website says two things:
Nutri Thyroid is a hormone-free glandular extract providing 140mg of thyroid concentrate from a bovine source. Nutri Thyroid tablets do not contain any hormones.
AND
The thyroid gland is prepared by removing any fat and cleaning the gland. It is then freeze-dried which ensures that all essential active nutrients, including enzymes, are retained. There is no heat or solvents used in the process.

Many here find it impossible to reconcile these two paragraphs.
so it does not have any t4 and t3 in it?
How can we know?
On the one hand, they expressly state Nutri Thyroid tablets do not contain any hormones. As T4 and T3 are hormones, they are saying that none is present.
On the other hand, they say they do nothing to the thyroid glands that would remove anything. Which means any T4 and T3 present would remain.
They can’t both be true. Can they?
My guess:
They deny any hormone content so that they do not get regulated out of existence. But any hormone that is present remains. Yet, as they do not make a claim of an amount of hormone present, they have no need to ensure consistency.
It is possible the product is of the highest quality and extremely consistent. But we can’t know how much is usually present nor that the amount is managed to ensure consistency.
