hi, i am hypOthyroid but 2 months ago my annual tsh was 8.6 (0.34-5.6) so increased levothyroxine to 175 mcg (mercury pharma) but had symptoms of hypErthyroid, anxiety, heart palpitations. Dr lowered my dose of levothyroxine from 175 to 125.
Since then i have developed a lump in my neck, feels like a pill is stuck in my throat, i cant feel it physically, its inside at the back by my windpipe. sadly nothing showed up on ultrasound so Dr thinks i have globus hystericus! i cant swallow or eat properly and its driving me mad!
could it have been my first hashimoto flare (toxicosis?) could it be just coincidence that the anxiety came on at the same time as the dose increase? is it possible that the previous high tsh caused a dumping of hormone into the bloodstream?
how long was yours swollen for and did an increase in levothyroxine make it go down? what can i do to shrink it? my b12, folate, vit d and iron are fine now.
also pins and needles almost gone due to sublingual b12 methycobalamin which is like magic juice!
