Every time i go to the pharmacy they try to fob me off with teva i’ve told them so many times i can’t take them.
Today they tried again, so they said they had no boxed mercury pharma but put some in a pot, they look too big to me for 25 mcg, but ican’t find an image online.
Can anyone help i don’t want to take them if they are teva they make me ill.

The PAR describes Teva 25 mcg as white, round, biconvex, with a break line on one side and 25 marked on the other; so no mention of "LT" as your tablet indicates.
If the pharmacy gives you Teva despite asking them not to, wouldn't it make sense to change to another pharmacy?
Every time i collect i have to check as they always slip at least one box, this time all four were Teva and to add insult to injury when i got home i noticed a label on the pharmacy bag had type next to my address details ‘no teva brand patient will get nasty’ !
That's disgusting! If that was me I'd be asking the pharmacist or Manager to remove it and replace with "No Teva brand, patient has severe reaction to this brand".
On my label it says "Actavis Levothyroxine only to be dispensed"
Not sure to be honest, but I used to get the same from my local pharmacy... never had a box etc. I used to be given a range of diff brands of Levo from one month to the next and for 2 years I felt awful. I was always told by the pharmacy that all Levo is the same/ ingredients etc.
Finally my oh suggested I should pick up my own prescription and take it to Boots (20min drive so a little inconvenient). New brand, boxed, helpful staff, my TSH dropped significantly, no spikes, and I started to feel better. I didn't know you could take a prescription anywhere... just assumed you had to pick it up from pharmacy the GP suggested. I was quite new to prescriptions etc. Wishing you all the best. x
Hi Cleo2467, I have just checked my Mercury Pharma tabs and they have LT on one side and 25 on the other, but these are 25 mcg o I guess that's what the 25 is. A bit strange that they didn't have boxed ones !
