Have you taken the 10 T3 and dropped back down to 150 T4 as suggested in previous post 3 days ago ? This action alone will reduce your TSH down - hopefully you might also find relief of some symptoms.
Oh, I'm sorry I must have misunderstood - I thought your endo had sanctioned 10 T3
and had started you off with a prescription.
OK then, hang on in, it's only tomorrow -
I am sorry for your having to fight for your health like this - it's so unfair.
I'm with Graves Disease, post thyroid ablation with radioactive iodine - my fighting my corner was making me more ill, as Graves symptoms are exacerbated by stress and anxiety - I've vacated the shooting range and am self medicating - it's truly very upsetting, and doubt anyone not affected would believe what we have had to go through to try get our health back on track.
It shouldn't be down luck, but I'm wishing you some for tomorrow -
That's simply despicable behaviour - whatever happened to the oath they all take of " do no harm " ?
Well I suppose you could go in with it all in small change and put it on her desk ?
I would think an endo overrides a GP in matters like this - maybe source your own T3 in the meantime, though I've a suspicion you're already on that one.
I'm lost for any words 'cause this doesn't make any sense -
I am not medically qualified and have my thyroid gland but I sympathise with those who've had their gland removed altogether and several research teams have shown that a combination of T4/T3 may be more conducive for people who aren't improving on levothyroxine.
I have my gland and, for me, levothyroxine caused me to be far more unwell.
I have recovered my health on T3 alone. There was no comparison for me.
All our bodies are different but T4 - inactive hormone - cannot compare with T3 - the Active thyroid hormone and we have millions of T3 receptor cells - heart and brain contain the most - and all need T3.
Quite a number of Research Teams have shown that those not improving on T4 do so with T4/T3.
I assume that you pay for your prescription, why not then order your own T3. The cost is around £18.33 for 30 tablets at 25mcg. prescription not required.
You could either 1/4 one to start with and then increase by 1/4 every two weeks until you feel well, this would lower your TSH and keep it suppressed.
It depends on how much you use if just a half every day the cost would be around £9 per month.
T3 is strong it is best to start off with very little and work up. One quarter of a 25mcg tablet it's easy to just cut one into four and start with that, OK?
i still have my thyroid but do not well on levothyroxine
i am on 200 a day but still have depression tiredness a massive weight gain and really burning tingling in my feelt. also joint pain in my arms especially in the mornings.
i eat really healthy food and try to keep active
yet people i have known for years comment on my weight gain
would yo tell me please how to obtain and purchase T3
