I have received the above and was getting it ready to do in the morning, but they have only included one tube. I am sure when I have done it before they sent me two tubes, does anyone know if they have changed it and only require one now.
Wonder if I should not do the test in the morning and get in touch with them to confirm.
Thank you.

Last I heard it was 2 tubes, maybe they have changed it. If you contact them, would you mind posting their answer, it will be best to know for definite as I sometimes mention that they require 2 tubes for that test.
Been in touch with Medichecks and customer service confirmed it is normally two tubes for this test.
They said they could try and manage the test with the one tube, or they could send me another. I said as it is testing ten individual tests I did not think one tube of blood would be enough, so preferred they sent me another tube.
They are sending me another one today.
I then ask why only one tube had been sent and the reply was it was an error and she would inform the logistics department.
Just reading the other replies and see others have only received one tube. This really does need to be sorted out by Medichecks.
I know that Blue Horizon only send 1 x microtainer for their PLUS ELEVEN test, I did this in November and as long as the sample is good they manage to do all 11 tests from that one tube.
When I last had the same test it was two tubes, but now it's one larger yellow topped one. I am having a blood test next Monday and just opened the package to check for you.
Hidden - does it show on the tube how much blood it holds? I have an iron panel test waiting to be done and the tube is marked with the word "Microtainer" and shows lines for 400 and 600. I know these hold 0.6ml of blood at the 600 line.
I only received one large container, a couple of days ago. I spoke to Medichecks Customer Services this morning, and the girl went away and checked, came back and said it ought to have been two tubes, and she would send a second out in the post immediately. Later, this afternoon, I had a missed phone call from Medichecks (no message left), then an email from them saying she had checked again and confirmed only one tube was necessary. So confusion reigns, but as others members have said they had successful tests using only one tube, and I now have it in writing from Medichecks that only one tube is needed, then I shall attend for my blood draw appointment in 5 days time - and if one tube turns out not to be enough then Medichecks can cover the costs of a second blood draw and test.
I have replied to Medichecks that they really need to get their act together - this confusion is totally unprofessional and really dents our confidence in their service.
bristolboy if you're having a venous blood draw then you wouldn't get the 2 x microtainers they send for the fingerprick test. The microtainers are really tiny, they only require 0.6ml of blood. You say you received a large container, that doesn't sound like a microtainer. But it is all confusing!
SeasideSusie The two UltraVit tests that I've had before have both been venous blood draws. They were definitely the larger containers both times. The area of doubt is over whether there were TWO larger containers, or just one, on those occasions - I THINK there were two, but with brain fog and my memory getting really bad lately, I can't be 100% sure . However, the girl on the phone this morning checked my order, so she knew I was having a venous blood draw and she STILL said two tubes were needed (and then later changed it to ONE tube in her email). Had it just been me thinking two tubes were used previously I would have put it down to me going mad, but others above seem to think the same - so I may not be totally gaga (yet!). Anyway, if I wasn't confused before, I certainly am now!!
Yellow is used for thyroid plus lots of other tests and they say one full bottle is enough for 12 tests. They're talking about vacutainer bottles and say that the amount of blood required will depend on how many tests you’re doing, but at least 1ml is ideal. So it would seem that one large container is correct, you'd get far more than 1ml in that, but to get at least 1ml of blood then 2 x microtainers for a fingerprick test would be required. Which then begs the question of how does Blue Horizon manage to do their Plus Eleven test with 1 x microtainer!
SeasideSusie I've exchanged a couple more emails with the girl at Medichecks. She's one of those people that fails to understand a simple question no matter how many ways you re-phrase it!! Anyway, she eventually confirmed that Medichecks used to use 2 large tubes of blood for the UltraVit tests, but recently reduced it to 1 tube. Either their lab has changed its testing technique (so need less blood), or they've been taking too much of my blood for the last 2 tests!!
I've never done a venous blood draw with Medichecks, only fingerprick tests, but do know that they definitely used to use 2 x microtainers, which is why I now do my full thyroid/vitamin test with Blue Horizon who only want 1 x microtainer (I can fill one with no problem, I can struggle trying to fill two).
The same has happened to me. I got my medichecks ultravit test kit earlier in the week - am planning to do the test this Monday morning - have been off all supps for last week to make sure I get accurate results. checked contents of kit today and only had one vial with a yellow top on it. Went to their website and there is confusing information on it saying that they 'might' be able to get enough blood from one vial to do the tests but usually recommend that you fill 2 vials. That being the case they should send you 2 vials and let you decide yourself whether you have given enough blood. Maybe only sending one vial cuts costs???? I have sent an email to the company to check that my single vial is correct. Am waiting for reply. Will update you when I get an answer but this is unnecessarily confusing, especially when you have spent a lot of money ordering the tests privately and certainty is required.
