Tirosint in Canada?

Does anyone know how to get this product in Canada? I've called around and it isn't offered.

It seems rather expensive to just buy monthly online and I'm pretty frustrated by that.

I have seen it listed on a couple of internet Canadian pharmacy sites but it is quite high price wise. Still need a script.

I'm sure my doctor would provide it, but the medication is upwards of $200 a month for 30 tablets.

So frustrating.

I hear you. My insurance won't cover here in U.S. but with an exception from my doc they will but it will still cost me $90 per month. Outrageous for both of us

Dear Cmerrill,

I live in Canada and here are links to where you can get Tirosint.

Hope this helps!

Hi again, I have not as I am OK on Synthroid as far as allergies go. But I had looked into it because I developed hives right after my TT 5 weeks ago (now all gone) and they thought it was the Synthroid. Turns out my body got a bit overtuned immunologically after the surgery and they stopped after 2 weeks. I’ve had allergies all my life and so it was just my body overreacting.

Sorry I don’t have any further info for you. Good luck and hope you can find what you need.

Why does it have to be Tirosint? Apparently Tirosint is only synthetic T4 and that is readily available and not very expensive. Did you try plain old Levothyroxine? If it has to be Tirosint have you tried emailing the manufacturer? I did that once for Armor NDT and they were very helpful sending me a long list of distributers all over the US. Maybe the manufacturer would do that for you.

There are no fillers or dies in Tirosint from my understanding. Just pure T4. It's a liquid cap pill.

Generic Levothyroxine and Synthroid have fillers etc.

OK, fair enough.
