Cannot afford NT anymore thinking reluctantly going back on Levo

I am seeking any advice on my problem, I was on Levo for about 20 years but felt awful then discovered NT (sourced from U.S.A) which on the whole worked well for 6 years but now cannot afford to buy them anymore and am considering going back on precription Levo but adding some T3 to the dose.

I know my GP would not like the fact I would add T3 (I have asked for for NT on prescription before but absolutely refused)

If I took T3 and had GP blood tests they would only lower my Levo amounts and I would end like I was for 20 years feeling awful again!!!

Does anyone have advice on how to go about this?

Have you thought about Thai NDT? Many members use this and find it as good, if not better, than the branded ones like Armour, Erfa, etc.

You could make another post asking for suppliers - put it in the thread title to get the attention of those that know - your post will have to be closed as we can't name suppliers on the open forum but it will remain visible and anyone who can help will reply by private message.

I switched to Thai thiroyd, it's a much more affordable option and so far I've had no issues other than its not quite as strong so I have to take more.

I too could no longer afford the USA ones, especially as I had paid for some that did not work at all. I went back to Thyroxine as a panic measure. I had forgotten how ill I used to be and then it all came back - and was virtually bed bound within 2 weeks. Luckily I had a PM from a member of this lovely forum for NDT in Thailand. It came fast, was affordable and is working well. PM me if you would like details.
