Hi all, my levo dose was increased 6 weeks ago to 125mcg (blood results are in my previous post). Over the past three days I have been experiencing a higher heart rate (resting up from 64bpm to 73bpm) and have been having frequent heart palpitations over the past 24 hours. I am also on 100mg of sertraline. I understand that this could be a sign of over medication, but could it also be that the combination of sertraline and levo is too much? Or could it be the levo kicking in and my body getting used to it? I just don’t want to contact my doctor without some ideas as I have had such trouble getting them to move away from the idea of me just having depression and anxiety.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Thanks for your response. The brand of levo has stayed the same for the six weeks so far.
Each day I am taking:
30ug of vitamin D.
10ml of blue iron liquid supplement which also contains a small amount of B12, folic acid, biotin, zinc, vitamin Eand vitamin C. 200ug of selenium.
200mg of magnesium.
I take the levo at 6am on an empty stomach and wait an hour before eating. I take the sertraline at around 11am and the supplements in the afternoon. I have gradually introduced the supplements over the past few weeks and my regime has been the same for 2 weeks now.
Money is short due to being off work so I had planned to do another full thyroid and vitamin panel in May when I have given everything time to work. I could do this sooner though if it would help me to decide what to do next? I am having a tsh and t4 blood test next week by the gp to follow up on the levo increase.
Yes I am strictly gluten free now and finding my gut symptoms to be much better.
Yes my last blood results were particularly bad compared to my previous ones. Could it be that the combination of changes I have made has had an impact on my levo requirements?
Make sure you remineralise correctly as you increase thyroid medication. Dr Carolyn Dean has written free ebooks about atrial fibrillation and palpitations. Dr Dean’s products ReMag, ReMyte and ReAlign (Botanicahealth) might be worth investigating. They worked for me.
I have had raised pulse etc when undermedcated re hypothyroidism, tho some get such when over medicated, but the fact you’ve been taking the 125 mcg levo. for 6 weeks already might indicate your body is ready for an increase. Try a reduced dose for a couple of days perhaps...and see what happens? Unfortunately making sure your vit/ mins are optimal is also key.
