TEVA 12.5 MCG

Talking of TEVA I was amazed to discover recently that there is now a 12.5mcg tablet made by Teva which has been on the market since 2016. I would love to think that at last pharmaceutical companies are beginning to realise the need out there for different doses of Levo so that people can try and achieve better levels of health rather than the standard doeses of 25mcg 50mcg 100mcg.

Teva, Alliance, and AAH each provide 12.5 mcg tablets that are listed in the BNF.

I think the interpretation is that the distribution arm of Teva, Alliance and AAH all supply Teva 12.5 microgram tablets. So far as I know, there is only one actual product.

(I find the information on BNF regarding products and distributors somewhat difficult to interpret.)

That is so frustrating and misleading, and surely only serves to add to the end cost of the basic product. I've not looked before, but I see that AAH was originally formed in 1892 as a company selling solid fuels in South Wales, that diversified into pharmaceuticals in the 1970s ........

You might also have noticed that part of their growth came from acquiring Vestric. That company was one of the most sophisticated computer-using companies of the time using ICL mainframes to manage their distribution. They used to be set up to do two deliveries a day to the majority of their customer pharmacies.
